Import into Tally
Map source data to ledgers, stock items, and vouchers. Prepare Excel or XML workflows with validation before you import.
TALLY IMPORT & EXPORT
Reduce repetitive entry and make accounting data more useful. We help plan and build Tally import, export, and integration workflows around your company, data formats, and reporting needs.
PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS, PURPOSEFULLY BUILT
A clear approach to the records, formats, and connections your business needs.
Map source data to ledgers, stock items, and vouchers. Prepare Excel or XML workflows with validation before you import.
Bring selected masters, transactions, and reports into spreadsheets or downstream applications for review and reporting.
Design a controlled XML-over-HTTP integration with your business application and the Tally environment you operate.
Define duplicate handling, retain processing results, and compare record counts and totals before completing a migration.
SEE HOW IT COMES TOGETHER
Explore three ways to connect your accounting workflow. Switch between import, export, and ERP integration to see what each approach involves.
The sample files show a starting structure for discussion. Final fields and mappings are defined for your Tally setup.
Map your columns, check required fields, and prepare masters or vouchers for a controlled import.

Discuss this workflowSTART WITH WHAT MATTERS
We confirm supported records and formats during scoping, based on your TallyPrime release and configuration.
Ledgers, ledger groups, stock items, units, and other agreed master data.
Sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, and agreed adjustments.
Outstanding balances, sales summaries, stock information, and ledger reporting.
Excel and XML workflows depend on record type and version. PDF is a report output, not an import format. Review Tally’s import guidance and export guidance.
A LITTLE MORE CLARITY
Have something else in mind?
Let’s talk it throughDepending on your TallyPrime release and company configuration, an import workflow can cover accounting and inventory masters, and transactions such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. We confirm the fields, voucher structure, and mapping with a sample before implementation.
We can scope a custom connector between your application and Tally using its XML-over-HTTP interface. The implementation needs access to your running Tally environment and the correct company. Connection, permissions, and deployment are agreed for your setup.
Yes, existing spreadsheets can be reviewed as a starting point. The column mapping, mandatory fields, and TallyPrime version determine the preparation required. CSV files may need conversion or a custom connector; they are not a universal native Tally import format.
We agree record identifiers and duplicate rules, validate required fields, and capture processing results. We recommend testing on a backed-up company, then comparing counts and totals before a production import.
No. The workflow explorer uses illustrative records and downloads sample CSV files. A live import, export, or scheduled sync requires a separately configured connector and access to your Tally environment.
Scope depends on your data types, source format, number of companies, validation rules, and whether you need a one-time migration or ongoing synchronization. Share a non-sensitive sample structure so we can discuss the work required.
